British born Stuart and Christine Wilson's first business venture was in 1974 when they opened an exclusive hotel, catering to bands and entertainers of the 60's, 70's and 80's. Most of the well known stars of that era stayed with them and they became firm friends with many entertainers and remain so to this day; bands like Procol Harem, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Dave Berry and the Cruisers, Fourmost, Swinging Blue Jeans, Guys and Dolls etc.
Since that time they have owned many businesses and properties of various types. In 1998 they bought a home "of manorial proportions" with many acres of land, making them near neighbors of Tony Blair, the British Prime Minister and with this property came the title Lord and Lady Amerston. Although Christine and Stuart tended not to use the title they did use the Griffin from the coat of arms as a logo for their various business ventures; hence the red crest as the logo for Frames and Things. In 2002 they moved to an exclusive community within the grounds of Wynyard Hall, former home of Lord Londonderry, having for neighbors many famous people, including Kevin Keegan, former England Football Manager, Mick McCarthy former Football Manager of Ireland, Steve Pinelle , drummer for Smokey, Sir John Hall, to name a few. At that time they decided to come out of retirement and ran the restaurant at Wynyard. The proudest moment of their lives was when they were approached by an emissary of Tony Blair with a request that we "loan" our head chef Tariq to make a meal for Tony Blair and U.S. President George Bush. Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair enjoyed the meal so much that they insisted on visiting Tariq in the kitchen to compliment him on the superb meal.
Christine and Stuart have a daughter Claire who is a famous TV reporter and a son Stuart who holds a high position in the building field and both live in England. In 1992 while on a vacation to Florida they stumbled across New Port Richey and fell in love with it and the surrounding area. After buying a vacation home in Sea Forest they spent many happy years on vacation until eventually they decided to relocate to the United States. In July 2005 they purchased Frames & Things which was then located on Julie Lane in Holiday.
At their two new locations they offer easier parking and pleasant showrooms. They have resolved to follow the maxim that they have used in all the other businesses they have owned…
